Affiliate Agreement

Version 2026-08-31.2. This is the agreement you accept when you apply to the CodWaves affiliate program, and the version you accepted is recorded with your application.

1. Who this is between

This agreement is between CodWaves (VAT B26923748, Spain), called "we" or "CodWaves", and you, the person or business accepting it, called "you" or "the affiliate". It takes effect when we approve your application, not when you send it.

2. Your link

On approval we issue you a tracking code. Your link is any page on codwaves.com carrying that code as its utm_source parameter together with utm_medium=affiliate. Only links in that form are tracked. The code is yours to use and not to transfer, resell, or share with anyone else.

3. How you may promote us

Share your link wherever you normally talk to your audience: videos, articles, newsletters, posts, courses, or your own site. Say what you honestly think of the plugins, including where they fall short.

You must make it clear to your audience that your link is an affiliate link and that you are paid if they buy. Most platforms require this, and so do we.

4. What is not allowed

You may not:

  • run paid search or social advertising on the CodWaves name, our product names, or close variations of them;
  • post your link to coupon, deal, cashback, or discount aggregation sites;
  • send unsolicited email or messages, or post your link where you are not welcome to;
  • make claims about our software that we have not made ourselves, including about results, compatibility, or endorsements;
  • present yourself as CodWaves, or register domains, accounts, or handles that suggest you are;
  • use your own link for your own purchases, or arrange for anyone to click it without a genuine interest in buying;
  • modify, cloak, or redirect the link in a way that hides where it leads.

If you are unsure whether something is allowed, ask us first at [email protected].

5. What you earn

You earn a commission on each qualifying sale. Your rate is shown in your affiliate dashboard and is the rate agreed with you; we will tell you before we change it, and a change never applies to sales already made.

Commission is calculated per sale on the net amount: the amount the customer actually paid, minus the VAT or equivalent sales tax we remit to a tax authority, minus the fee the payment processor charged us on that transaction. Processor fees can settle a day or more after the sale, and a sale is not payable until its fee is known. Your dashboard shows which sales are still waiting.

Everything is shown and paid in euros. A sale made in another currency is converted at the European Central Bank reference rate of the day the payment was made.

6. Sales that do not count

A sale earns nothing if it is refunded or charged back, if it was bought through your own account, or if it came from activity that breaks section 4. Refunded orders drop out of your balance automatically. Where a sale has already been paid out and is later reversed, we may offset it against your next payment.

7. Tracking

Attribution is based on the visitor's browser recording your code when they follow your link. It lasts 90 days from the click, and a later click on a different affiliate's link replaces it. Tracking depends on the visitor's browser keeping that record, so a cleared browser, a different device, or a privacy tool can lose a referral that was genuinely yours. Our records are what we pay against.

8. Getting paid

Request payment from your dashboard once you have a payable balance. Payment is sent by PayPal to the address you give us, in euros, and normally within 30 days of the request.

You must keep your invoicing details in the dashboard accurate: legal name or company name, address, and a tax identification number. We cannot pay you without them. You are responsible for declaring and paying any tax you owe on what you earn, and for issuing an invoice where your own tax rules require one. Nothing here makes you our employee, agent, or partner, and you have no authority to act for us.

9. Ending it

Either of us can end this agreement at any time, for any reason, by telling the other. We can also pause or close your account immediately if we believe section 4 has been broken. When it ends, stop using your link and remove it where you reasonably can. Commission already earned on qualifying sales is still owed to you, except where it came from activity that broke section 4.

10. Changes

We may update this agreement. Each version carries a date, and the version you accepted is stored with your application. If we change it materially we will tell you, and continuing to use your link after that means you accept the new version.

11. Liability and law

We are not liable to you for lost profits or for anything you could not reasonably have expected from taking part in this program. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law. This agreement is governed by Spanish law, and the courts of Spain have jurisdiction.
